Education Program Manager

Job Duties

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Education Program Manager within its Judicial College. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and administer Judicial College curricula for judges, magistrates, court personnel and/or other audiences.

In this role, the Education Program Manager will primarily plan live education and assist e-learning colleagues to design online self-study courses from inception to completion.

What you will do:

Develop and manage curriculum for court constituents.

Lead and work collaboratively with committees to conduct needs assessments, course design, faculty identification, and effective delivery of education offerings.

Effectively use and coach faculty on the use of teaching techniques including technological education tools.

Apply adult education theory and practice to curriculum development, course planning, and faculty development responsibilities.

Review, analyze, and use evaluation results.

Continually strengthen knowledge and skills pertaining to instructional design and instructional technology by attending workshops and seminars and reviewing books and publications.

Participate in regional and national associations that relate to the program managed, serve on committees, and serve as liaison with other agencies or institutions.

Qualifications


What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, education, instructional technology, public administration or related field. An advanced degree and experience in education, law, or related field strongly preferred.

Two years’ experience and significant expertise in preparing and delivering instructional programs for adults using adult education and instructional design methodologies.

Demonstrated skills and experience with design to delivery including needs assessments, ability to write learning objectives, assist faculty with building out content and selecting teaching methods, to delivery and evaluation.

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Ability to professionally interact with supervisor, co-workers, judges, justices, attorneys, other court personnel and the public.

Ability to be persuasive and to exercise judgment and creativity in evaluating information and making sound decisions.

Ability to work flexible hours; some courses will require travel and overnight stays.
